Richard A. Baer, Jr. is Professor of Environmental Ethics at Cornell University. He earned his Ph. D. in the history and philosophy of religion at Harvard University and writes on a wide range of subjects, including the environment, education reform, and philosophy of education. His articles have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Education Week, and other popular media. Among his publications are:
