Reasons to Support the Center
1. The Center provides encouragement to think from the whole of Scripture about the whole of life. In an environment where "Christian politics" often means single-issue or ad hoc practice, the Center works hard to demonstrate the bearing of grand biblical themes like "covenant," "kingdom," "sovereignty," and "love" on the political process as well as on individual political issues.
2. The Center provides encouragement to study the positive potential of government under God. The Center does not claim that government can do everything; in fact, it argues that there are some important social tasks that governments should not take up. But in the face of much Christian nervousness (at least in the United States) about whether government in principle is a potentially good thing, the Center consistently works to show that human government is one of the good gifts that God has given for his own glory and for the flourishing of humanity.
3. The Center provides encouragement to think as Christians about the nature of government as well as about the programs and policies of government. Again, in American Christian circles this is a much-needed emphasis, since we simply have not had as much stimulus as we have needed to ponder how government might best fit within the limits, but also fulfill the potential, that it has been given by God.
