Webinar: Guiding Principles for Governments Response in a Pandemic
During the Center for Public Justice’s 40-plus year history, the United States has faced crises that have called for unprecedented actions by our government and civil society institutions to preserve human life and promote the restoration and flourishing of our communities. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world is experiencing dual public health and economic crises of epic proportion.
How should government respond? And what is our role as citizens? Join CPJ Board Chair and Visiting Scholar in Reformed Ethics at Redeemer University College Jessica Joustra, CPJ Fellow and Associate Professor of Theology and Director of the Center for Applied Christian Ethics at Wheaton College Vince Bacote, and CPJ CEO Stephanie Summers for a conversation on how the public justice framework applies in a pandemic. The conversation will center around a new resource from CPJ, Guiding Principles for Government's Response to a Pandemic, which articulates CPJ’s vision for the task of government during a pandemic and how this applies to key areas of public policy.
