Gideon Strauss, Ph.D., is the Academic Dean and Associate Professor of Worldview Studies at the Institute for Christian Studies in Toronto, Ontario. A native of South Africa, his dissertation focused on the ethics of public welfare. He worked as an interpreter for the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission under Anglican Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu.
