Mariah Humphries is the Director of Communications at the Center for Public Justice.
Hojung Lee
Hojung Lee (born in Seoul, South Korea) is the managing editor at the Center for Public Justice. She graduated with a B.A in studio arts and public policy and leadership at the University of Virginia. Hojung believes that art naturally creates a space to reflect on society, with vast potential to bring attention to systemic injustice and inspire a call to action. She uses vulnerability as her greatest tool to bring about change, most evident in her debut essay collection: Tigerrabbit (New Degree Press, 2022). Nostalgic for the wetlands and the wading birds of her hometown, Orlando, Fla., she seeks out bodies of water whenever she moves somewhere new.
Naomi Hamaker
Naomi Hamaker is a Research Archive Fellow at the Center for Public Justice. She earned a BA in Psychology and Leadership with minors in Human Rights and Political Science from Christopher Newport University. Naomi is also currently participating in the Falls Church Fellows Program. She is passionate about coffee, sunsets, and cultivating a more just and equitable world.

Melissa Mercedes
Melissa Mercedes is a Policy Associate at the Center for Public Justice. She is a Gordon College alumna and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Affairs with a concentration in International Development. In her position, Melissa supports the advancement of CPJ’s faith-based policy and institutional religious freedom research and initiatives.
